small time

i just got home from a few beers with the boys (joey, phil, jason, oliver & mike) at calahan's. i pulled into the drive way and got out of my car. on the walk to the front door, you couldn't ask for a better night - high 60s and clear skies, which lead me to look up at the stars. can't remember the last time i did that. for a moment i felt so small, like tiny, like insignificant. then i walked through my front door, up the stairs and into my bedroom where my wife and baby girl were sleeping. that's when i realized i was big time to someone. then i went downstairs to watch the end of grey's anatomy.
